Peachy-Keen Monochromatic Look
If you've been on Instagram lately, you've probably seen the hashtag #PeachesMakeupChallenge, which was created by Hailey Bieber in celebration of her husband's latest single, "Peaches". It involves creating a monochomatic look using just shades of peach.
Luckily for us, peach is one of the easiest shades to wear. It suits nearly everyone and is very easy to work with.
Here is my take on the #PeachesMakeupChallenge.
First, I used Joanna Vargas Rescue Serum, which is a Vitamin-C serum that helps smooth and brighten the skin, providing enough moisture that the make-up goes on smoothly.
Next, I used Rodial Instant Filler Primer, which helped further smooth my skin and helps my makeup last longer.
Using a foundation brush to apply, I covered up any imperfections and dark circles with Rodial Diamond Concealer in shade 20.
I then swept my entire face with Rodial Peach Powder, to help set the concealer and to further color correct my skin.
Finally, it was time for color! I chose Pretty Vulgar Make Them Blush in Sweet Revenge. This shade of peach is warm, soft, and totally buildable. I swept it on my cheekbones, extending up to the temple, and then did a soft application over my entire lid. I then took a bullet brush and added more pigment in the crease and at the lower lash line. I took a clean blending brush and blended it out to create more of a sweeping look.
I added one coat of Pretty Vulgar Faux Reals Mascara on both the upper and lower lashes to provide some definition and contrast.
Finally, I applied Rodial Collagen Boost Lip Lacquer in Beach, Please (which will be arriving at The Gilded Girl soon!)
Monochromatic looks are easy to wear and, more importantly, easy to apply. Play around with different shades of peach, pink, and even lilacs to get a fresh spring look!
