Fall 2016 Make-Up Trends
Traditionally, when we think of fall make-up, we think of brick red/burgundy lips, darker eyeshadow colors and paler skin. This year, kick some of those tired looks to the curb and try something new!
Shimmer and Shine! – No longer relegated to disco parties or summer nights, glitter is being used in sophisticated ways. Dust glitter along your brow bone as a highlighter. Or brush it into a neutral eye to give it some pop. Or use it in the corner of your eyes.
Remember – don’t use craft store glitter. Aside from being too large to be subtle and sexy, it can irritate your eyes.
Instead – try Tarina Tarantino’s Sparklicity Pure Bronze and Face Atelier’s Shimmer
Peachy Keen – Peach is usually associated with spring and summer. But this year, it is the shade for fall. Soft and romantic, the new peach makes you look like a painter’s muse. Try THE BEST peach blush we’ve ever worked with, Face Atelier’s Ultra Blush in Peach Glaze. For eyes, we recommend Glo Minerals Eye Shadow in Coy.
Imperfect Red Lips – Ok. So we said no reds this fall. Buuuuuut, how about you just change up how you wear them? Apply with your fingers to get a smudgy, I’ve-been-kissing look. No liners, no lip brushes. Try it with Rituel de Fille Forbidden Lipstick in Written in Blood, Winky Lux’s Matte Lip Velour in Heart, or Glo Minerals Lipstick in Cabaret
As always, we are happy to help you out with learning or creating any of these fall looks! Call 412-450-0578 to set up an appointment time.
